Culpeper Community Garden is a beautiful public open space in the heart of Islington, London, which serves both as a city park and as an environment community project. Managed by and for local people, it is a unique project where people from all walks of life come together to appreciate and enhance their environment.

House of Fairy Tales established by the artists Deborah Curtis and Gavin Turk, The House of Fairy Tales is a child-centred artist led project which draws on an extensive team of artists, performers, writers, educationalists, designers, musicians, film makers, dreamers and philosophers to create magical, parallel worlds where learning is play and play is directed learning. Operating across a number of formats from workshops, publishing, advocacy and education packs, The House of Fairy Tales is about making education inclusive, inventive and fun.

London Wildlife Trust is the only charity dedicated solely to protecting the capital's wildlife and wild spaces. We manage over fifty London-wide reserves and campaign to save important wildlife habitats, engaging London's diverse communities through access to our nature reserves, volunteering programmes and education work.

Plastiki is a 60- foot (18m) catamaran made out of 12,500 reclaimed plastic bottles and other recycled PET plastic and waste products. On March 20, 2010, the sailing vessel set off from San Francisco, California to cross the Pacific Ocean with expedition leader David de Rothschild. The expedition projected landfall in Sydney, Australia and included plans to visit several sites en route of ecological importance of which where we susceptible to environmental issues caused by global warming. Plastiki arrived in Sydney Harbour on July 26, 2010, accompanied by a small flotilla of boats.

The Wandle Trust is an environmental charity dedicated to restoring and maintaining the health of the River Wandle and its catchment. Our aims are for the Wandle to achieve Good Ecological Potential (in line with the aims of the Water Framework Directive), with a view to later attaining Good Ecological Status; and for the Wandle catchment to set international standards for urban community-driven sustainability and environmental excellence in river rehabilitation and restoration.

The Zoological Society of London (ZSL) is a charity devoted to the worldwide conservation of animals and their habitats. Based in the heart of the city, ZSL London Zoo provides a unique location to engage and inspire people from London and beyond with the natural world. In addition the Zoo has large programme of curriculum-linked education sessions for schools, where animals and conservation are brought to life for pupils of all ages using artifacts, games and interactive activities.
