Global Garbage - Update
Global Ocean continues to support the work spearheaded by Global Garbage and oceanographers at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. This work involves the implementation of the Marine Litter Project and the Brazilian Marine Debris Monitoring Programme. The information from this is to be compiled in to a report to be presented to politicians and to be used as a lobbying tool to urge those in power to put together more stringent controls on plastic pollution.
