Fatemah joined Global Ocean in June 2012 after completing a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Sciences and a MA in Landscape History at the University of East Anglia. She has always been intent on working in the conservation sector, especially following fieldwork with Leatherback turtles in Karachi, Pakistan, and an internship with WWF in the Western Himalayas. Fatemah is keen to encourage standardised environmental education across the world, especially in developing countries, and believes in action over words. She is currently the Eco-Arts Director for Global Ocean, managing social media, school workshops, eco-awareness events and research. She has previously lived in Canada, South Africa, Pakistan, Dubai and California, and enjoys photography, travel and exploring cultural heritage.
