On the 11th and 12th of August, Global Ocean ventured into the Oxfordshire countryside to experience Supernormal Festival and conduct eco-arts workshops across the weekend. Supernormal Festival, located at Brazier's Park, presented an innovative weekend of art and music, in unfamiliar settings, with many surprising and delightful events. Anna, Munir, Fatemah and Daniel set up our workshops in the Activities Tent on the Village Green for 2 hours on Saturday and Sunday afternoon, picking up passer bys of all ages. The children and adults enjoyed making their sea creatures, and were very interested as to why we were conducting the workshop! We saw a multitude of penguins, squids, sharks and even a walrus and baby seal emerge from the recycled plastic, and our new friends were overjoyed with the fruits of their efforts. All in all it was a wonderful weekend in glorious sunshine, and highly enjoyed by all – especially the Global Ocean team.
